Creflo “Almighty” Dollar featuring Twista

Urban Hymns - New Music

NEW YORK, NY, August 19, 2015 – Urban hymnist Sir the Baptist has partnered exclusively with AllHipHop for the video premiere of “Cleflo ‘Almighty’ Dollar” featuring Twista, Jack Rvd, and Lili K. Fresh off the release of his highly successful debut single “Raise Hell”, his second offering takes aim at prosperity gospel evangelists and their deceptive theology, making direct reference to the controversial pastor who rallied his followers to crowd-fund a $65 million private jet. The R&B/soul crooner (and occasional rapper) typically borrows from hip-hop and gospel traditions, but credits the African chants on Paul Simon’s Graceland album as the original inspiration for his latest single.

Prosperity gospel and fraudulent evangelists are currently hot topics of discussion, most recently satirized by comedian John Oliver on HBO’s Last Week Tonight. Even Oprah Winfrey’s new scripted series Greenleafwill touch on the highly controversial themes surrounding megachurch communities. Now with “Creflo ‘Almighty’ Dollar”, Sir offers his own poignant commentary on the matter: xxxxxx

“Cleflo ‘Almighty’ Dollar” serves as the second single for Sir’s forthcoming debut full-length PK: PREACHER’S KID.
