Sir the Baptist and ChuchPeople March and takes over Park
Meet & Greets with highlights of Business, Dinning & Fine Living
This past Sunday, Sir the Baptist took church to the park, literally. Gathering at the church that his father, Reverand James B. Stovall, founded some 40 plus years ago, Sir, followed by the chuch people, rallied and marched in demonstration against the violence that plagues Chicago’s and many other cities’ streets. Sir lead the people exactly one block west to Armstrong Park, encouraging the community to “Wake Up!”
It was in this very park that Sir played as a young boy and grew to understand the meaning of community. There the gates opened and the chuch people both young and old, gathered and fellowshipped. If there is meaning behind Sir’s artistic works, this exemplifies his reason for creativity. It’s through his music that Sir understands how to reach the people.
